About

My name is Mike Dortch and I enjoy sports, music, people and travel. I grew up in Buffalo, NY and currently reside in Rochester, NY. My first job after college was with Eastman Kodak, a Fortune 500 company, and the film capital of the world - now transitioning to the digital giant of the world. After a few years in the Trades division, I was promoted to a position within the Environmental Health and Safety group. After many years of training and hard work, I gained an enormous amount of knowledge, especially working with upper management and dealing with an array of different, and sometimes difficult situations. Next, I was recruited for the new position of Environmental Coordinator. I lead the Safety division in its safety efforts. For several years, I was the public "face" of the division to both employees and external companies.

After gaining all this experience in Environmental Safety, it occurred to me that I needed a “plan B”, as my former boss would say. I wanted a new challenge that would allow for more creativity and the opportunity to maximize my interpersonal skills. I enjoy meeting new people and the daily insight that comes from this interaction. Also, I easily adapt to people of diverse cultures and corporate status. So, for my next challenge, I decided to go back to school to obtain a degree in a field that would peak my interests, and serve my intent of starting a business of my own someday.

As a current graduate of FullSail University this past Oct, my objective now is to find employment as your social media and Internet marketing specialist and lead your journey into the ever-changing world of online marketing. With the opportunity to gain experience and to push myself to find new creative ways to stay ahead of the growing curve.
